Featured Project: Digital Fabrication
Digital fabrication is the process of making a digital design and then manufacturing a physical model from the original creation.
I support a global group of teachers through professional development, design assistance, and establishing curricular connections related to digital fabrication. To assist with these elements, I created a website with introductory information, tutorials, FAQs, and examples.
Website: http://www.digitalfabrication.org (This URL redirects to a MakeToLearn.org that I co-manage with Jonathan D. Cohen)
Dire Straits
Dire Straits is a game that helps upper elementary and middle school students refine their understanding of lines, angles, rotations, and general spatial ability. I assisted with the instructional design process for this game as well as Dire Straits play mechanisms.
CLIC
The Curry Library Innovations Commons [CLIC] is a physical and digital collaborative space that supports learning for all UVA community members. It resides in the former Curry Library. I serve as a member and adviser on the CLIC Steering Committee.
