H20 Testing Station

About This Project

I worked with an environmental science teacher and two students to design, program, and build an Arduino-based water testing station. The high school students used the station to analyze the Rivanna River’s chemical stability during periods of intense water run-off from man-made surrounds (like parking lots, bridges, and housing complexes).

The station logged massive amounts of data over long periods of time and saved all of this information to an SD Card. After retrieval, I helped the students mathematically analyze the results by creating functions and charts in a spreadsheet program.
