Run-On and On and On Sentences

Oh, how I wish Zero Punctuation was PG-13 or PG! It would be such a fun way to introduce this week’s grammar topic: Recognizing the beauty of complete sentences and the fallacy of run-on sentences.

I know, I know. You have watched the video, and you have noticed that the voice-over isn’t one long run-on despite the fast talking, quick tongued words of Yahtzee, the author and creator of Zero Punctuation. However, I doubt any teacher would fail to recognize the humor and amazing resemblance between some of his sentences and those of a typical American student.

Maybe I will see if my students can create G-rated knock-offs on their own self-selected topics.
